The papers contain three letters from Lippard regarding an honor bestowed by the Few Society of Emory College; the Bible as an example of literary style and lifestyle; the importance of preserving the Union; Horace Greeley; his book, "Paul Ardenheim, the monk of Urssahiken"; mistreatment by the Despatch [sic] editors and by Theophilus Beasley Peterson; and his ill health. There is also a proof impression, 1850-1853, of a woodcut of Lippard by John R. Telfer.
